Klaxo Radio Hour

What is it?

Klaxo Radio Hour is an audio-based interactive mystery game playable on both an actual, physical toy radio and as a digital game for PC and Mobile.

The radio plays the lost, last episode of a fictional 1940’s radio mystery show “Kat Keene: Investigator”.

Players help the titular lady detective make choices by turning the radio knob to different channels- choose-your-own-adventure style- but the deeper mystery of the radio and why it’s talking to you in the first place lurks on the channels the radio doesn’t mention.

What I love about it

The radio is a modified Halloween prop from Target- taking it apart and rewiring the switch and lights to run in the Unity game engine was a fun challenge. I also loved learning about 1940s radio dramas and making sure our story blended an authentic 1940s feel with a supernatural element.
